Food for Thought for Interested Actors!

I had a few text messages come in from a former actor today that I really must say got to me a bit. So, I'd like to officially make an announcement so it's duly noted. Even though I discuss this with every actor I work with, I want to put this out there.

If you have any interest in working in the adult industry as an actor, where you'll be taking your clothes off on film, having sex with someone on film, it's possible that it may have an impact on your future success in the real world. What that means is, if you have any plans on going into any career which involves the public, teaching, acting/modeling, law enforcement, military, anything where a background check will be made, etc. then DO NOT WORK IN PORN AS AN ACTOR. You will be exploited, you will be seen, and chances are, your friends and family will find out. Tell everyone and anyone close to you about what you're thinking about doing if their opinion matters to you. I can't be any more blunt than that.

Why? Because, the chances are, it will bite you in the ass. There are a great deal of companies that will NOT hire you if you appear in porn, especially GAY PORN. Most actors will go on and it may have NO affect on them whatsoever. But that's not always the case.

Before you sign that contract, before you take that payment for your work, and continue to work for a Producer, think long and hard about it. Because once it's done, it CAN NOT be un-done. One small little scene could jeopardize your future. But whatever you do, don't go back and blame the Producer for your decision. Take responsibility for your own decisions and your own actions. It is NOT the producer's fault you chose to get in this line of work. It's all up to you.

I have NEVER forced, or talked an actor into this line of work. Quite the opposite. I share with them the same information you've just read and give them plenty of information on how to be successful in this industry. I have never held any actor to a contract who wanted out.

Porn is not for everyone, but it is for some. And those who want to make a career in this industry as an actor, can do so and some do very well.

All I'm saying is, think before you act, and take responsibility when you do.

Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts, it's nice to share my thoughts.

Have a great weekend.
