My Thoughts on Exclusivity

No news this time about any actors. Just thought I'd take some time to address some questions I've been receiving over the past few weeks. Also, I'd like for once to set the record straight on some things I've held back on in the past.

I have worked in the adult industry for about seven years, solidly for a little over five. I consider myself still very new to this industry with a great deal to learn and grow. I've worked with website's, designing, programming, implementing. I've produced, directed, edited, cast, you name it. I have added a camera man who shoots for me on set now, which is a big help. And I always have my assistant with me which helps relieve the stress. But all of the work after it's filmed and before it's filmed is done by myself. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I have some experience with what I do.

I've also had a great deal of experience dealing with 18 to 21 year old actors. And let me tell you, that in itself is a chore. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy working with them, and am grateful for their participation. But so many have such a huge misconception of how this industry works and what it takes to really make something of themselves.

A few years back, to feel 'part of the game', I decided to start working with actors exclusively. I did this for several reasons. One, it's always good to work with someone who gets along well on set and off, and having them come back for work makes my job very enjoyable and stress free (for the most part). Another reason, was to grantee work to the actors so they new this wasn't just a one time deal. That I had a desired interest in working with them for a given amount of time. Each actor that comes in and works for me is treated like family. I've ran my business this way and it has 98% of the time ran smoothly. But here's where I want to set the record straight. Before any actor sits down with me and signs an exclusive contract, I go over the contract with them. In my contracts it states how many scenes and at what rate. If there are photo shoots, extras, that's included as well. So everything is spelled out, so the actor knows EXACTLY what's expected of him, and of me. I have honored every single one of my obligations to my actors, but my obligations because they aren't delivered in the time the actor expects them, is never good enough for the actor. They expect a sugar daddy to support their drug habit, or their car repairs, their trips, their gas money, everything and anything they need. And they expect this with nothing in return, just because they are 'under contract'. Well, I'm not here to be someone's dad and support them. I have no problem paying someone for work they provide, but why should I have to advance anyone anything? I don't find that very professional, as I don't ask my actors to perform for me two weeks before they get paid. I'd also like to say for a lot of actors who just start out, I pay them two times the starting pay that other producers pay them. Our actors pay is more than competitive, their flights are paid for, their room and board are provided every time they come in, their STD tests are paid for, we do a great deal for our actors. Far more than others, and most of all we give them respect, and treat them as our own.

So, what ends up happening is, an actor gets unhappy because we're not filming every single month, even though the contract spells out exactly how many scenes he will get in a given amount of time, which we honor. So because I'm not giving them MORE than the contract stipulates, they get upset. Start demanding more work, or they want out of their contract. Or, go work behind my back with another Producer, or make deals, etc. So, enough is enough. I decided NO MORE EXCLUSIVE CONTRACTS. I will contract an actor for a given number of scenes for a period of time, but holding an actor to only my studio doesn't seem very fair to the actor and just creates problems. If an actor works for me, or another studio, does it really matter to the person buying the DVD who they work for? I highly doubt it. The only people it matters to are the greedy producers who want the actor to themselves. In my opinion, nobody in the Amateur or Pro-amateur side of production can pay an actor enough to keep them as an 'exclusive' actor. Perhaps the big wheels like ChiChi, or Falcon who have ten times the budget Amateur/Pro-Am studios have can make it worth their exclusivity.

Xtreme Productions is taking a new course with it's actors. No exclusives. No more greed or drama between this studio and another because of an actor. I feel each actor should work as a free agent, working with whom he chooses whenever he chooses. Exclusivity only causes problems for everyone, and we simply don't need that drama in our business any longer.

If you're an actor reading this, or you are interested in becoming an actor, don't sell yourself short and sign into an exclusive contract, unless it's with the big wheels. If a producer won't hire you because you worked for me, or some other producer, then that producer isn't worth a shit. Move on to the next producer, I'm confident he'll work with you, and you won't get fucked, or be unhappy with your career as an actor. Are some actors happy being exclusive? Yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of satisfied actors who are exclusive. Just do your homework because working for just one studio isn't always beneficial for an actors career. Because trust me, when you're all used up, you're going to be kicked to the curb. I have never to this day, ever kicked an actor to a curb. Spite them saying very bad shit behind my back, spite a whole load of drama. I have always taken actors back for work who definitely didn't deserve it. And for any actor that says otherwise, isn't being truthful. I have been fucked by so many actors, if I gave you the list you'd be amazed. But spite their back stabbing, etc. I always gave them the benefit of the doubt. And regardless of what few say, we hold a respectable reputation and we will continue to do so.

So, Devon Pryce, Kayden Daniels, who were under exclusive contracts are no longer holding a contract with my studio. Does this mean we won't be working with them? I certainly hope not. I'd like to work with both equally as much and hope to do so in the future. I just think it's time we look out for the actors more, and do what we can to move their career to the next level.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Mason Ross

Who is Mason Ross?

Mason flew in on Sunday evening for his audition. What a character! We had a few scenes set up for his audition, but unfortunately the two actors flaked out on me last minute. But not to worry, he performed a few hot solos for us!

It was a fun time having him out, and he performed as expected, very well. He stands about 5'10" tall, has blond hair, and emerald green eyes. He has a great upper body physique, and a nice thick cock! I'm confident he will be a popular one. Mason will be working with us through-out the year, so keep an eye out!

Please be sure to vote for this one and let us know what you'd like to see him do for you in front of the camera!

Fuck Me Like a Bitch Boi

I bring you my 69th film release, starring Exclusive Kayden Daniels along with 8 other hot twinks, and 1 older dude! Six hot scenes fill this 90 minute feature film with the hottest twink on twink action filmed to date!

Shot on location in California, this is the first studio shot film, giving Afton Nills' film one more notch on quality. The sets gave great versatility to the film, and allowed for a wider range of story and content. This film is by far, the best Xtreme film to date and a must have!

This is a film about making bets your body ends up paying for. Kayden, having a gambling problem makes a bet that lands him into some trouble, which makes for some very hot twink on twink hardcore action! Jacob Patrick plays the part of the mob boss sorta speak, Landon Haynes plays the part of the bookie, Kayden Daniels and Jalen West fall victim to their bad bets, Kameron Scott plays the part of the crooked quarterback, Jon Matthews plays the part of the coach, Cameron Taylor plays the part of the cop and Jesse Jacobs and Tyler Bradley play the part of patients in a hospital room.

Once in a Blue Moon - Episode 1

Afton Nills' brings you Episode 1 of Once in a Blue Moon

Yes, I'm happy to report that we have finally put the finishing touches on the first episode and will be ready to ship late this month online at our website, www.1rmedia.com.

Some of you may be familiar with a few of the stars, some who remain in the industry, some that do not. While I originally intended for lead parts to return for the first season, some have moved onto other things and are no longer in the industry. Needless to say, we will be making some cast changes for episode 2. Actors scheduled to return are, Dillon Samuels who plays the role of Eddie, Kameron Scott who plays the role of Oscar, and Quinn Alexander who plays the role of Robert. Nevin Scott and Trevin Nills no longer work in the industry, so their parts will be replaced with new actors.

For more information about the first episode, please visit our website, www.1rmedia.com which will have a trailer up in the next few weeks.

Teagen Daniels

Who is Teagen Daniels?

We were introduced to Teagen some weeks back and are very happy to report he'll be doing some work with us here at Xtreme. While lately his work has consisted of solos, we have a scene scheduled in April '08 with Teagen and Turk Melrose. Yes, Turk is coming back to do some work with us, which we are all very excited about.

Teagen is 20 years old, stands about 5'10" and works out on a regular basis. He says he enjoys being rimmed, and is a versatile top. He says he will bottom for the right guy, which includes Turk. But honesty, who wouldn't bottom for Turk right?

Teagen will be appearing on our website, www.twinkylicious.com upon it's launch which is expected to happen late this month!
